Intro and Update
Greetings all!
I wasn't aware of and therefore did not take full advantage of the ability to post my updates on here. I will be doing so from now on.
For those interested, this project, The Truthseeker's Quest (name pending, but likely to be finalized) is the product of my desire to make a 2D, instanced, ARPG that would allow the player to control elements of their own abilities and combine them into skills, and use the combat skills they create to not only make their character more powerful, but to allow them to be able to create their own playstyle within the game.
Its a rather ambitious project, but I hope to present you with at least a semblance of what I am going for within a years time.
Now for the update.
I managed to solve the issue which resulted in the keyboard controls feeling wonky. Additionally, I set up a screen where the player can activate the controls they plan to use for the game. I will add a menu where you can switch these controls at a later date.
My next goal in game development is to create a visual bar representing the enemy's health, as well as a revamping of the visuals associated with the Sagecraft system (my term for the creation and assignment of abilities)
I look forward to presenting these upgrades in the near future!

Oh, and one more thing: I did make the controls more fluid and fast, I just need to update the animations to work with that feeling.
